Shaving/Hair Removal

Postby SteveinBriefs on Tue Jul 13, 2010 4:10 pm

Hey guys,

Just curious - with a lot of us in briefs, bikinis, and thongs, there can be a lot of hair that's revealed. Do you remove any hair from the sides of your undies or underneath? How do you do it?

Myself, I shave all my hair up front and in back. It's a little hard to do the butt, but...you do what you gotta do. And it's gotten easier. I just find I like it nice and smooth, and it certainly feels and looks much nicer under my briefs or thongs. How about you guys?

Me? I am natural all the way. People know all my hair. I used to shave, but at this point in my lif4e I don't care if people see a few hairs on my body. On the other hand, I know most young men do go for that totally cleared look....and hey, that is fine and great with me. I have to honest... a short or shaved look is wonderful. Thank god for gays that started the trend!!!!!!

I'll sometimes fall behind and the front gets a little less than baby smooth for a little bit (shaving takes a lot of time and effort, and some days you just don't have the time), but yeah, try to keep it (balls, penis, groin) as hairless and smooth as possible. With the butt, though, if I'm gonna be in a thong, it's imperative to me that I shave it - I need to be smooth back there to put the strap in and feel nice. Don't know why.

As a sidenote, if anyone's interested, I just use a regular razor in the shower, and then use MIN Solution 2 roller ball as an after shave treatment. It's easy, and I've had no razor bumps or itchiness since I started using that stuff. Just a tip.

A few years back, Dakota expounded on this subject, you might search this board to see if you can find it. Or ask Dakota.

Ask and you shall receive. :)

Steve, search the older threads here about a product called Magic Shave. It's been discussed a lot here over the years. It's a powdered depilatory intended for black men to use on their faces, as they're susceptible to shaving bumps and such. I learned through experimentation years ago that if used at a lower concentration, it works VERY WELL to remove body hair easily, quickly, painlessly, and completely. And we're talking anywhere on your body, including down your crack and across your hole. No risk of cuts or razor burn, and it'll do it all in about ten minutes. Razors have their places, but Magic Shave is an amazing time saver. I've used it regularly for about fifteen years, on myself, my partner, and on various other guys. I can't say enough good things about the stuff.

If your goal is to be as smooth as you can get, this product will do it for you. Guaranteed. You can buy it at places like Target or Rite Aid, in many grocery and other drug stores. You'll find it in the ethnic shaving products section. I recommend the regular formula, that comes in a blue and silver can. It sells for about $2 a can.

Let us know how it works for you.

Bought some and used it today - seems to work pretty good! Had a nice smooth butt back in a fresh thong pretty quickly (usu I wear briefs but with doing that today I felt a thong was the way to go, no?)! But didn't work so well on the front - maybe I'll make it a little stronger next time. Anyway thanks for the tip! It made kind of a mess to clean up though - will have to work on that for next time.

You need to read those old posts. There are many of them, and lots of information about tips on using it. In a nutshell:

Mix it about like cake batter. I recommend using warm, not hot water, so it's not as shocking to your skin. Wear latex gloves so you don't dissolve your fingernails or the hair on your hands (unless you want that hair gone too.) Apply it smoothly, and let it dry till it starts to get powdery, with a flat-paint appearance. If you rinse off while it's still wet-looking, it won't have worked as well. Wait a few days after a treatment before you do it again, to give your skin time to recover. When it's done working, step into the shower and rinse off with warm water and a washcloth - no soap. The washcloth works as an abrasive to help rub off the hairs. After you're done, dry with a towel, and apply a good aloe-based lotion to remoisturize your skin. Any hair not immediately removed will usually be gone by the next day. Experiment with the Magic Shave mixture thickness and time on your skin to get the best combination for your hair. Once you get the details sorted out, you'll never go back to a blade. I guarantee it.

Have fun!

Recall asking about this several years ago when the hair on the top of my head seemed to be migrating down to my balls--by the time I finally got around to shopping for Magic Shave, Magic Shave was all I remembered and ran across premixed version which have never been completely happy with the results--time to go shopping again and hopefully will remember exactly what I am looking for this time!

Re: Shaving/Hair Removal & Magic Shave

Postby Microron on Thu Jul 22, 2010 4:19 pm

After waiting a few years, Magic Shave finally arrived on the north part of Vancouver Island. I picked it up at London Drugs recently. The Magic Shave was in cream form with extra coco butter in the formula according to the product description.

Following the directions was quite straight forward. I inked a line where I wanted my treasure trail and buttered up with a flat stick. I also went for an anal crease hair removal... I dabbed my rosebud with some Vaseline to protect it and spread the cream heavily thoroughout the crease.

My first experience using it was quite succesful. I'm looking forward to see how the hair grows back in to determine if there are going to be any ingrown hairs.

Any tips on after care with this product?

Cheers,

MicroRon

Aloe based skin lotions and moisturizers seem to work well. Keep the skin lubricated.

There are two guys at my gym that shave their balls/shaft while showering after working out. I'm friendly with both of them and they just shave away without being shy. One is a good-looking gay guy, older than me, but in good shape and quite friendly. The other guy is handsome, straight, probably in his 30's, and has a kick-ass body. Nice flat stomach, too. Nice reason to go to the gym.
